Frédéric Markiewicz holds a Master’s in Management from HEC Paris, after studying at the University of Warwick. He is currently Managing Director at Guardiola Capital, where he co-built the platform’s strategy and has been driving its investment approach since 2023. He brings nearly a decade of experience across private equity and M&A, built between Brussels and New York, combining strong execution capabilities with a rigorous and pragmatic investment mindset. Prior to joining Guardiola Capital, he contributed to transactions and portfolio follow-up within a private equity platform in Belgium, and gained deep deal execution experience within a New York-based advisory firm. He began his career in M&A within an international investment banking environment, developing a solid foundation in corporate finance and strategic transactions.
Harold Grosfils holds a Master’s degree in Business Engineering from the Louvain School of Management, followed by an advanced Master’s in Financial Analysis from London Business School. He currently serves as Investment Manager at Guardiola Capital since 2024, where he is involved in the origination, execution, and follow-up of investments, applying disciplined financial analysis with a hands-on, entrepreneur-oriented mindset. He previously worked within a private equity fund investing in Belgian and French SMEs, and earlier gained experience in fund investment and fund selection as well as in mergers & acquisitions. Alongside his investment activities, Harold teaches and regularly shares insights through conferences on finance and macroeconomics, and has been actively involved in entrepreneurial associations.
Lorris Benhamou holds an Advanced Master in Financial Techniques from ESSEC, after completing a Master’s degree at Clark University. He joined Guardiola Capital in 2025, bringing strong expertise across strategy, corporate finance and investment execution, with a pragmatic and business-builder mindset. Prior to this, he built a solid track record within the strategy and M&A team of a diversified retail and consumer group, contributing to strategic initiatives and corporate transactions through rigorous analysis, business case development and project execution. Earlier in his career, he spent several years in investment banking within a leading European financial institution, advising Consumer, Retail and Luxury clients on M&A transactions and developing deep expertise across valuation, structuring and deal delivery. Alongside his investment activities, Lorris is actively involved in coaching start-ups in the food and retail ecosystem, reflecting a strong commitment to supporting entrepreneurs on both strategic and financial dimensions.
Stéphane holds a Law degree (UCL) and a specialized degree in Management from Solvay Business School. He began his career as a lawyer before specializing in legal consulting and project management for freelancers and SMEs. For the past seven years, Stéphane has held a cross-functional 'Swiss Army knife' role within PIC1871's European subsidiaries, contributing to operational management and legal oversight. He is also actively involved within Guardiola Capital, supporting the team on legal matters across investments, governance and corporate structuring.
Sophie is a certified accountant, graduated from EPFC. Active in accounting and back-office roles since 1992, she has solid experience gained in fiduciary firms and in supporting SMEs. Since September 2018, she has been responsible for accounting and human resources administration within the various operational companies linked to PIC1871’s strategy. She oversees the back-office and administrative functions for Guardiola Capital, covering day-to-day administration, accounting coordination and financial reporting.
Bruno Houdmont, holding a law degree from the Catholic University of Louvain and European law from Universiteit Gent, has held senior management and CEO positions in the banking sector, notably at BBL, ING, and Degroof Petercam in Europe and Asia. He possesses extensive expertise in the financial sector, particularly in asset management. He holds the Certified Director and Certified Fund Governance Expert certifications from the Luxembourg Institute of Directors, as well as the Certificate in Corporate Governance issued by INSEAD after completing their International Director Program. He currently serves as an independent non-executive director on boards of regulated and non-regulated entities and is also a member of various audit and risk committees. He is Chairman of the Board of Guardiola Capital.
Marc Van Doornick, a commercial engineer and holder of an Executive Program in Reputation Management from the Solvay Brussels School (ULB), is a serial entrepreneur. In 1990, he co-founded d-facto, which became the d-side communication group, which he led until 2005, delivering major projects such as Belgium’s 175th anniversary celebrations. In 2005, he took over RestoPresto, transformed it into EatingDesk, a meal solutions platform, and sold it in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, he partnered with Jacques-Martin Philippson in several companies to support their founders operationally. In 2012, he co-founded Guardiola Invest as Managing Partner, steering the Philippson family’s diversification until the end of 2023, while serving as a non-executive director in various Belgian and international companies. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of PIC1871 and Board Member of Guardiola Capital.
Arnaud Meyrant holds a Master’s degree from Solvay Brussels School and
has over 15 years of experience at the intersection of strategy and
consumer-driven businesses. Over the course of his career, Arnaud has
led group-wide transformation initiatives within a major food, grocery
and specialist retail holding operating across multiple European
markets, covering strategy definition and execution, commercial and
business development, operational efficiency, restructuring, M&A and
divestments, as well as partnerships and ESG integration. Earlier, he
spent several years within a leading strategy consulting practice,
advising organizations on corporate and business-unit strategy, customer
and marketing strategy, innovation, and pricing and demand analytics. In
parallel, Arnaud is actively involved as an advisor to FMCG, consumer
and retail SMEs and start-ups, a pre-seed and seed investor, and a board
member across Belgium and France, reflecting a rare ability to combine
high-level strategic vision with a deep, fast and entrepreneur-centric
understanding of real-world operational challenges.
He serves as Executive Director of Intermarché Belgium and sits on both the
Board of Directors and the Investment Committee of Guardiola Capital, bringing
a highly strategic yet pragmatic perspective to investment decisions and
long-term value creation.
